Mayfield Marlins respect the Clubs Code of Conduct:

For Swimmers:

  • At all times respect Club equipment, pool facilities and surrounds.

  • Be a good sport and applaud all good performances whether they are made by our team or the opposition. Display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat.

  • Refrain from conduct which could be regarded as harassment, bullying, discrimination and abuse whether it is physical or verbal.

  • Refrain from behaviour that is disruptive to others.

  • Cooperate with coaches, officials, teammates and opponents.

  • Be ethical, considerate, fair and honest in all dealings with others.

  • Be a positive role model to other swimmers.

  • Never argue with an official. Discuss decision disagreements with the Captain, Coach or Club President during a break or after the competition.

  • Work equally hard for my teammates and myself.

  • Thank the opposition and officials at the end of competitions.

For Parents:

  • Encourage participation by your children.

  • Provide a model of good sports behaviour for your children.

  • Encourage honest effort, skilled performance and team loyalty.

  • Make new parents welcome on all occasions.
